Talk Straight, Trading as Schools Broadband is Awarded ISO 27001 Re-Certification Success with a Mature and Effective Security Management System
We are pleased to announce that Talk Straight, trading as Schools Broadband has successfully passed our re-certification for the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System accreditation AND upgrade to ISO 27001:2022, conducted by the UKAS accredited NQA.
What is ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised standard that outlines how to effectively manage information security through an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS.
What is an Information Security Management System (ISMS)?
While many organisations address information security in various ways, an ISMS provides a structured framework that places information security at the core of an organisation’s operations. This system ensures that companies comprehensively assess all security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, enabling them to implement controls that minimise these risks. It also ensures that companies regularly review and address any emerging or ongoing security needs.
